Not a pattern form a beginner. Cute pattern and fairly easy to crochet. However, the directions are a bit lacking. Specific amounts of each yarn would be helpful. When I made the first wedge I was confused as it started to become a half circle instead of a wedge shape. A picture of the half circle or an explanation at the beginning would have given a more clear picture of what to expect. Couldn’t see how it actually worked until I got to row 11. The wedge caps between the hooves directions are incomplete. It only gives you one section when there are two needed. I could only figure it out from the picture. Next time I make one I will continue the wedge part from two of the hooves instead of tying them off and then attach the other hoof to the other end. You might want to consider doing this in the directions. It took me a minute to figure out how it all went together. This is probably due to my inability to put puzzles together:) Again, the good pictures saved me, A video of how it goes together would be a great help and add value to your pattern.
All in all it is a great pattern. I will probably be purchasing the giraffe next! And maybe more as I have a new grandbaby coming. I hope you are not upset by my opinions of your pattern. I just want to help you make it better! You have a great, unusual product that no one else is doing. I am excited to see what you will come up with next!
